J-Term Scholarships

A limited amount of funding is available each year through the NCSSM Foundation to support J-Term Opportunities.  The January Term Scholarship Committee is charged with distributing the funds through grants paid directly to the appropriate vendor in the name of those students selected.  If you would like to be considered for a January Term Scholarship to offset some portion of the total cost of your January Term experience, please complete the January Term Scholarship Application Form (form available in August). You must be logged into your NCSSM Google account to complete the application.

Any student may apply for this scholarship, but priority consideration is given to seniors who qualify for the NCSSM Financial Assistance Program. 

J-Term Scholarship Tentative Timeline

Monday, August 26, 2024:  J-Term Scholarship Application is available to all students

Friday, September 13, 2024: Deadline to submit J-term Scholarship Application

Week of September 23, 2024:  Recipients of J-Term scholarships will be notified, along with their families and sponsors. Funds are not given directly to students; instead sponsors work with Academic Programs to utilize funds to pay for expenses.

Friday, February 21, 2025:  Deadline for Scholarship Recipients to submit their Stewardship Reports to the NCSSM Foundation
